Straightened Spaces – Home Staging
$25–$30/hour based on experience

Straightened Spaces is a busy home staging company servicing homes throughout the GTA. We are looking for an experienced, reliable and hardworking Lead Mover/Driver to take ownership of our moving operations and help ensure every staging installation and removal runs smoothly.
This is not a typical household moving position. You will be working closely with our staging team to transport and handle high-quality furniture, artwork, rugs, lighting and accessories in client homes. Care, organization, efficiency and professionalism are extremely important.
THE ROLE
As Lead Mover, you will be responsible for leading the moving team on staging and de-staging days, safely operating our 26-foot truck, protecting our inventory and client homes, and keeping the truck and warehouse organized.
You will be expected to take initiative and keep the team moving efficiently without requiring constant direction.
Responsibilities
- Lead and direct other movers during staging installations and removals
- Safely drive a 26-foot moving truck throughout Toronto and the GTA
- Load and unload furniture, artwork, rugs, lamps, accessories and staging inventory
- Pack the truck strategically and tightly to maximize space and prevent damage
- Properly wrap and protect furniture before transport
- Ensure walls, floors, doorways and client properties are protected while moving
- Assess the safest and most efficient way to move large or awkward pieces
- Direct junior movers and assign tasks throughout the day
- Communicate clearly with stagers and management regarding timing, inventory and any issues
- Keep the truck clean, organized and properly stocked with moving supplies
- Assist with warehouse organization and inventory movement
- Assemble/disassemble furniture when required
- Perform minor handyman tasks when required
- Complete pre-trip vehicle checks and immediately report vehicle concerns
- Take responsibility for ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently and professionally
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for someone who is:
- Extremely reliable and punctual
- Experienced in professional moving, furniture delivery or a similar physical role
- Comfortable leading a small moving crew
- Physically strong and capable of safely moving heavy furniture
- Careful and respectful when working in high-end client homes
- Able to think ahead and problem-solve without constant supervision
- Organized and efficient
- Professional with clients, stagers and other team members
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where schedules and locations change
- Willing to take ownership of the truck, equipment and inventory while in their care
- Positive, hardworking and willing to jump in wherever needed
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Ontario G driver’s licence
- Clean and insurable driving record
- Comfortable and experienced driving a 26-foot moving truck
- Clean record
- Previous professional moving experience strongly preferred
- Previous crew-lead or supervisory experience is an asset
- Ability to repeatedly lift and carry heavy furniture safely
- Reliable transportation to the required starting location
- Ability to work flexible weekday hours
- Ability to travel throughout the GTA
Our workload varies throughout the year, with significantly busier periods during the spring and fall real estate markets. Candidates must have flexibility with start and finish times, as moving days can vary depending on the number and location of jobs.
There is potential for increased hours and responsibility for the right person.
COMPENSATION
$25–$30/hour, depending on moving, driving and leadership experience.

The right person will be someone we can trust to take ownership of the moving side of a job — arrive on time, organize the crew, protect our inventory, pack the truck properly, communicate with the staging team and get the job completed efficiently.
