Overview
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and engaging Child Enrichment Companion to spend quality time with our young daughter in our home in Chilliwack, BC. This part-time position focuses on creating a fun, immersive English-speaking environment through conversation, reading, educational games, arts and crafts, baking, and other hands-on activities. If you enjoy working with children and helping them learn through play and everyday experiences, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Speak English with our daughter throughout each session
- Plan fun, age-appropriate educational activities
- Read books, play games, and encourage learning through play
- Lead arts and crafts and creative projects
- Bake or prepare simple recipes together
- Encourage kindness, confidence, curiosity, independence, and good manners
- Occasionally enjoy outdoor play or educational activities around our property
- Create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment
Qualifications
- Excellent spoken English(prioritize those who also speaks mandarin, or muti languages)
- Experience working with children is preferred (teaching, tutoring, childcare, or early childhood education)
- Patient, caring, reliable, and responsible
- Creative, energetic, and enjoys interacting with children
- Reliable transportation
- Criminal Record Check required
- Degree or educational credential verification required
Pay: $30.00-$32.00 per hour
