The position entails being the first point of contact for all guests arriving and departing from the hotel. This includes checking guests in and out, answering the phones, booking reservations and coordinating guest stays and requests while at the property. The front desk agent would have to work well under pressure both in a team and solo environment. Communication and customer service skills are essential for this position. Must be available for all shifts including night audit. Shifts include 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am. (11Pm shift only for call-ins)
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures all emails are screened throughout the day and responded to within 24 hours
- Correspondence and inquiries are responded to in a professional and timely fashion
- Deliver effective telephone sales techniques and excellent customer service over the phone
- Responsible for making sure all reservations and guest details are updated, and requests are communicated to other concerned departments and hotels prior to the guests’ arrival
- Flexibility to work all shifts
- Friendly, positive and easy to approach demeanor
- Ability to prioritize tasks to ensure efficiency is always maintained
- Cleaning Lobby and Pool area as well as bathrooms as needed.
