Role

Reporting to the Director, Commercialization, this full-time position will be responsible for developing and implementing market access initiatives contributing to and in support of the long-term growth strategies of Knight’s in-licensed specialty products and product launches. This includes but is not limited to leading pricing, reimbursement, market research, and competitive landscape assessments.

Primary Responsibilities

Assess, design and develop optimal and competitive pricing strategies
Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders in the development of such strategies
Lead access research activities, report summaries, budget impact analyses and presentations
Meet with payers to present clinical and pharmacoeconomic benefits of Knight’s in-licensed products
Understand provincial listing processes and procedures as they apply to Market Access
Track, monitor and evaluate competitor pricing and reimbursement strategies
Manage pricing and formulary listing databases and ensure price lists are accurate and up-to-date
Work closely with Regulatory Affairs to ensure successful new product launch
Recommend pricing strategies with Business Development regarding new product acquisitions
Act in accordance with Innovative Medicines Canada’s (IMC) Code of Ethical Practices
Secondary responsibilities

Serve as primary reference point for provincial authorities regarding related product inquiries
Continually look for opportunities to improve internal pricing and reimbursement processes
Ad hoc projects as required
Qualifications/Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in sciences, life sciences, business or related fields
Minimum 4 years of experience in market access, reimbursement or pharmacy benefits manager role
Extensive knowledge of provincial and public formularies, pricing and pCPA Frameworks
Strong strategic, results-driven and problem-solving skills
Extremely detail-oriented
Solid project management capabilities
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
Excellent communication (written and oral)
Assets

Medical and regulatory affairs experience
M.B.A. or other advanced degree
Job Specific Skills

Fluency in English and functional knowledge of French is preferred
Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Travel is variable but generally less than 10%
