The Reservations Agent is responsible for greeting, booking and executing all dining reservations and special requests in all food outlets. They are to provide extraordinary service and information on all CN Tower Food and Beverage products and services. They also need to be informed of all other CN Tower products services and be up to date in regards to venues/events within the City of Toronto as per CN Tower standards. They must possess a positive and upbeat personality and work towards enhancing the guest experience while they are dining in 360 Restaurant, VUE Bistros or other event.

Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service and greet all guests in a friendly and efficient manner

Answer Reservation phone lines, assist guests with enquiries and reservation request

Help with expediting guests into and out of dining room (i.e. assist with direction)

Greet, confirm reservations and check in guests

Work coat check for the Restaurants, MLC and any special events
-
Solicit guests for the 360 Restaurant

Handle request for last minute changes to reservation times/number of guests

Ensures priority treatment and check-in of VIP and regular guests
-
Create and maintain a sense of excitement at the entrance of the restaurant including name recognition

Provide an escort to the assigned table, engaged in pointing out features of the restaurant (washrooms)

Prepares, responds and inputs all Third Party Requests (TPR's), Special Request Forms, Cake Forms, set up all group contracts and general reservations

Communicate special requests, occasions and celebrations, allergies and any other guest information to the Head Hostess and Head Reservations Clerk

Communicates and reports any table or seating discrepancies with the Maitre’D

Maintains a knowledge of food and beverage outlets including excellent menu knowledge, product knowledge and availability including VUE Bistros, Le Café and 360 Restaurant in order to guide guests accordingly

Follows daily opening and closing procedures

Participate in departmental skills training as required and assist with new employee

Assist the Restaurant Managers and Restaurant staff with other designated duties within the job classification

Adhere to all Company policies and departmental procedures and the Collective Agreement

One (1) to three (3) years’ related experience in the Food and Beverage industry is preferred
-
Smart Serve certification is required
-
Working knowledge of restaurant POS system and reservations software (Open Table) is an asset
-
A diploma from a secondary school is required
-
Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
Interacts with employees, management and the public at large.
Ability to stand or walk for long periods of the day.
Noisy and fast-paced environment.
Excellent guest services skills with an ability to recommend the CN Tower products.
Flexible to work rotating shifts, which includes but is not limited to evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime as required.
Department uniforms are provided to protect personal clothing from wear and damage. Approved uniforms are to be worn during working hours. Dress codes are in effect as per the standard policy and procedure.
Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
