Books 4 Brains is a family owned & curated independent children’s bookstore in Comox, BC. We opened our doors to the Comox Valley in October of 2019. The store specializes in newborn to young adult books with a small assortment of adult inventory. Numerous puzzles, games, Lego, toys and treats share the shelves with our books along with some of our favorite cuddly stuffed animals. We run in house events along with bookfairs on locations that share our passion for literacy. Our friendly and welcoming atmosphere provides a relaxed shopping experience which includes a little owl play area. All of our staff share our passion for reading and customer service and are happy to answer any and all questions. 2020 Nominee for Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce Family First Award.
Job description
Reporting to the Head Owl's, Customer Service Owls (CSO) are responsible for providing customer service to our clients. CSO’s receive inventory and help to ensure inventory controls through the use of our Bookmanager system. They process financial transactions using payment card and cash system. Through direction they provide merchandising support and functions as requested.
As a leader to our little owls CSO’s may guide our in-house events and are integral parts of our team. CSO’s shifts vary from 10 am to 5 pm and anywhere in between. As such opening and closing procedures are part of the position. Shifts are Monday through Saturday.
