The GRC provides Global Marketing & Communications, Learning & Development, Procurement, Risk, Finance and IT.

Overview of the opportunity

This is a complex global role that involves leveraging social media for marketing and communications. This role will have a focus on managing and growing KPMG International’s social media presence externally, while also helping to drive internal best practices for the KPMG network of member firms. Based in Toronto, the role of the Social Media Manager is to:

Build, grow and nurture KPMG International’s online communities on key global social media channels, while maintaining competitive engagement
Collaborate with global marketing and communications teams in leveraging social media programs to support business objectives
Work with global marketing and communications stakeholders to create, review and execute on content strategies
Manage the global influencer outreach program by identifying and engaging with online influencers relevant to KPMG industries and service lines
Contribute to the development of digital marketing campaigns and manage social media advertising solutions
Ensure adherence to social media standards and guidelines, while identifying trademark violations to mitigate risk
Support the team in developing guidance, documentation and training related to the strategies and tactics outlined in the FY19 Social Media and Content Strategy
Work with analytics team to provide stakeholders with campaign reports, listening reports and insights derived from these reports that can support improvement and growth

Key Accountabilities

Social Media & Content Strategy
Support implementation of KPMG Social Media Strategy and related documentation.
Ensure KPMG use of social media extends audience awareness and reach of KPMG thought leadership content, encouraging commentary and engagement.
Champion audience needs and expectations, through audience insights and analysis, and knowledge of best practice in social media engagement.
Support global marketers and communicators from campaign strategy to execution.
Leverage social monitoring as a key contributor to planning.
Work alongside the Country Team and member firms to roll out global marketing programs.
Develop and share global best practices, governance and training to enable firms to deliver on their social media strategy
Work as a strategic advisor to review and recommend tactics for content and engagement through social media
Measure effectiveness of campaigns, content and engagement on social media
Work alongside of marketers and communicators when tier 1-2 content is being developed for social media and advise
Ensure content and engagement strategy is driven by business objectives and priorities across to social channels.
Develop and manage KPMG international’s influencer outreach program to enhance the brand and increase exposure of leadership and global initiatives.Collaborate with the social media analyst to develop an influencer outreach database of relevant influencers in all areas of the business
Social Media Governance & Operations
Share knowledge and request knowledge across global team boundaries
Develop best practices, training materials, case studies for social media leads and marketers.
Advise/train/educate global audiences on social media and content strategy
Ensure compliance with Risk policies and process in content generation and posting.
Early identification of potential risk issues that may impact the KPMG brand, and ensure that relevant stakeholders are immediately engaged and appropriate response mechanisms are used.Ensure quality standards and guidelines are being properly and consistently adhered to.
Resource & Relationship Management
Ensure productive relationships are maintained with agencies and other internal KPMG teams
Conduct meetings with stakeholders to ensure the appropriate planning and strategy development for key campaigns and social content
Attend and participate in meetings with marketing and communications as well as with social media leaders across business areas and locations
Interact, negotiate and manage relationships with multiple vendors and social networksCross-cultural sensitivity in interacting and negotiating with global audience of clients and vendo
What you bring to the role

Post-secondary education preferred – degree level or equivalent.
Any industry accredited certifications on Project Management such as CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) is preferred, but not required
Minimum of 5 years of work experience in the management of social media channels such as LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, blogs/communities to build demand and brand reputation.
Experience with enterprise social media monitoring/listening tools.
Experience creating and writing content for social media or blogs in a B2B company
Experience with engaging and building relationships with social media influencers, including multiple stakeholders at a senior level.
Expertise in measuring effectiveness of social media content and campaigns.
Keys to your success

Excellent writing and communication skills, with an ability to grasp campaign objectives and translate into actionable marketing content.
Extensive project management and digital marketing experience.
Proven track record in a client service or customer service role.
Ability to understand and apply brand, risk and technology guidelines.
Comfort with wide variety of cultural differences and skill sets and ability to work a flexible schedule to interact with colleagues in other time zones around the world.
Ability to travel internationally as required – this would be limited.
Ability to work flexible hours as required - connecting and collaborating with colleagues in different time zones.
Proven ability to create, engage and maintain a strong professional network to achieve corporate goals.
