SkyAlyne is a proud partnership between Canadian aviation and defence leaders, CAE and KF Aerospace, formed to provide a truly Canadian solution for Canada’s Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) Program, Canada’s next-generation military aircrew training program.
SkyAlyne has been selected as contractor for the FAcT Program, a 25 year program valued at approximately $10 billion. The program will be managed from the National Capital Region (Ottawa), with three operational locations: Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan; Southport (Portage la Prairie), Manitoba; and Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The scope of the FAcT Program contract includes all training and in-service support requirements needed to prepare Pilots, Air Combat Systems Officers, and Airborne Electronic Sensor Operators to meet the future aerospace requirements of the Royal Canadian Air Force. In collaboration with the Government of Canada and several major Canadian subcontractors, SkyAlyne will provide live-flying, simulator and classroom-based training, facilities construction and management, information management and information technology support, site support services, aircraft maintenance and much more.

Job Overview
The Data Management Administrator role involves supporting the successful delivery of documentation for SkyAlyne, ensuring compliance with established processes, and assisting in process improvements. The Data Management Administrator will also support the implementation and enhancement of the document delivery workflow system by managing specific tasks and providing ongoing support.
Duties and Responsibilities

Collaborate with various stakeholders, and subject matter experts to gather relevant information and ensure documentation is accurate and maintained.

Edit, format and proofread mid user and end user documents, ensuring that content follows a logical progression.

Convey relevant information in a concise and a clear manner.

Create and update user manuals, business requirements documents, functional specifications that explain system functionalities, procedures and best practices.

Revise existing materials to meet the requirements of the documentation type.

Adhere to and maintain departmental standards and enforce them across projects and formats.

Assist with managing, monitoring and maintaining the document database, files, and systems.

Assist Data Management lead to establish a document management system.

Follow specific formatting guidelines and style guides.

Additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience

Certificate or diploma preferably in Business, Technical writing or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Technical writer.

Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy.

Experience in managing document delivery and workflow processes.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in using document management systems and related software tools.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.

Strong proficiency in MS Word and PD software (e.g., Adobe Pro, Foxit) to be able to create and edit complex documents and forms.

Have functional knowledge of easy web content management applications (previous experience with Adobe Experience Manager preferred)

Be able to hold a Government of Canada Security Clearance (Secret level), and Controlled Goods Clearance.

Experience in the Defence and Aerospace industries would be an asset.

Eligible to work in Canada.

Strong oral and written English language capabilities.

Fluency in French would be an asset.
