Duties
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating team members
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency
- Manage food handling procedures in compliance with safety regulations
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed
- Ensure all food safety standards are strictly followed, including proper sanitation and storage
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Oversee restaurant operations during shifts, including serving customers and managing customer inquiries
- Implement and uphold hospitality standards to enhance guest satisfaction
- Conduct interviews and participate in hiring new team members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management
- Strong leadership and team management skills with supervising experience
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS and cash handling procedures
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
- Experience in hospitality settings, including hotel or barista experience is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to train and motivate staff effectively
- Background in food service, restaurant experience, or the food industry is highly desirable
