Housekeeping Supervisors are responsible for the daily coordination of rooms to be cleaned by the housekeeping team; inspecting rooms and common areas to make sure they meet the core standard of cleaning; checking rooms for maintenance (attention to detail and presentation are very important); and ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all staff and guests.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Assisting with training all housekeeping staff
Supervising housekeeping and laundry staff while they are performing their duties
Stocking and maintaining the housekeeping supply rooms
Resolving all guest complaints
Checking all guest rooms are ready for check-in
Conducting the daily morning meeting with housekeeping staff, and organizing all staff daily
Ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained at all times
Assisting guests with all questions and reasonable requests
Understanding the reservation system and relieving front desk staff whenever necessary
Ensuring accurate information is provided to guests with respect to all Big White Central Reservations products
Viewing all unit types and understanding all building amenities
Understanding how everything operates in guest rooms e.g. fireplace, windows etc.
Understanding the mountain and Village layout, and being able to give directions
Understanding all health and safety issues with regards to staff and self
Ensuring all staff are adhering to Health & Safety protocols and wearing proper uniforms
Assisting with any other reasonable request made by a Central Reservations Manager

Must be able to be on their feet for long periods of time
Back, slip and fall issues
Must be able to use all cleaning equipment (vacuum, mop, etc.)

Might have to deal with threatening behavior from guests/staff
