About the Role
As a Restaurant Supervisor/Server with Long Beach Lodge Resort, you will deliver exceptional guest experiences while supporting the daily operations of the Great Room Restaurant. This hybrid role combines hands-on leadership with outstanding table service, ensuring smooth front-of-house operations and memorable dining experiences. You will lead by example, support and guide the service team, maintain high hospitality standards, and work closely with the kitchen and management team. As a member of the Food & Beverage team, you will be flexible in supporting restaurant operations, special events, and overall team success.
Supervisor Responsibilities
- Supervise daily front-of-house operations, including shift briefings, section assignments, shift transitions, cash remittances, and tip-outs.
- Support smooth service flow by coordinating the dining room, assisting with hosting duties, and ensuring timely food and beverage service.
- Provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.
- Serve as a liaison between leadership and employees by communicating expectations, departmental goals, and operational updates.
- Assist with staff scheduling while supporting labor cost targets.
- Resolve guest concerns and complaints promptly, ensuring effective service recovery and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain strong communication with all departments to support seamless resort operations.
- Ensure team members have thorough knowledge of menus, features, preparation methods, and service standards.
- Assist with the planning and execution of special events and functions.
- Perform other leadership and operational duties as assigned.
Server Responsibilities
- Provide professional, friendly, and attentive service to all guests.
- Guide guests through food and beverage menus, answer questions, and make recommendations.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all menu items, specials, beverages, and resort amenities.
- Take orders accurately and deliver food and beverages according to service standards.
- Practice responsible alcohol service and comply with all food safety and sanitation requirements.
- Assist with running food and beverages, clearing and resetting tables, and supporting overall service flow.
- Complete opening, closing, and side duties efficiently and accurately.
- Follow all cash handling, cash-out, and tip-out procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all guest-facing and service areas.
- Represent Long Beach Lodge Resort in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Hotel/Restaurant Management is preferred
- Leadership experience in F&B service, preferably in a hotel environment
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Superior interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of fine food wines and service
- Computer literacy is imperative including Microsoft Office and Point of Sale System,
- Serving It Right certification required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and be active for up to 10 hours per shift
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent bending, kneeling, lifting, pushing, and pulling
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
Staff Housing
Limited staff accommodation may be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Availability is not guaranteed. Shared accommodations include access to kitchen facilities, laundry, and Wi-Fi. Priority may be given to full-time staff or those without local housing options.

- Criminal Record Check: Required prior to start date.
- Reference Check: Two professional references will be contacted.
- Driver’s Abstract: Required for roles involving use of company vehicles or driving duties.
- Signed Staff Manual Agreement: required as part of onboarding, confirming understanding of workplace expectations and policies
