Position summary
Department / Research Program: CHHD Child Health and Human Development Program. MIPOGG- CIHR Project Grant Leveraging precision medicine and eHealth to predict cancer predisposition syndromes in children: A Canadian initiative to redress global health disparities in cancer genetics
We are currently seeking a motivated, organized and autonomous individual to join our dynamic clinical research team working in the field of cancer genetics (children and families)
There will be no direct patient contact within this role
Under the immediate supervision of the principal investigator, and program manager the incumbent will be responsible for assisting in CIHR Project Grant : Leveraging precision medicine and eHealth to predict cancer predisposition syndromes in children: A Canadian initiative to redress global health disparities in cancer genetics.
General Duties
Within this role the incumbent will assist the team with the Development of CPS prediction models for 10 common childhood cancer types.
Information will be obtained from published sources of patient-level clinical and genetic data from pediatric cancer sequencing cohorts, CPS registries, datasets and clouds meeting defined quality metrics.
Incumbent will also be assisting in data mining, data entry for the QPS registry.
Accomplishes any other related tasks as required by the immediate supervisor.
Also responsible for reviewing patient-level data, conducting data exploration, and entering data into the MIPOGG and REDCap platforms, as well as the QPRS registry and REDCap database.

Education / Experience
Education: Master's Degree
Field of Study: Sciences or health
Work Experience: 1 year experience in a relevant field such hospital/ clinical research
Required Skills
- This position requires an advanced knowledge of oral and written French.
- An advanced knowledge of oral and written English is required, as the position requires regular and complex contact with patients, researchers or international students who are exclusively proficient in English. The position also requires complex writing or in-depth analysis of documents in English related to a research project.

- Knowledge of basic Medical Nomenclature a prerequisite to succeed in this position,
- Must have genuine interest in Hematology/ Oncology, Cancer Genetics and Pediatrics,

- Self-directed with an ability to organize, plan, prioritize and multi-task with varying degrees of supervision,
- Communication and collaboration skills,
- Ability to work in team.

Additional information
Status: Temporary, full time (35-hour workweek)
Pay Scale: Commensurate with education and experience
Work Shift: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm
Other: Flexible
Work Site: Glen Site, 1001 Decarie Blvd.
