Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable, engaging, and professional instructor to lead Saturday morning Yoga sessions. The ideal candidate excels at leading a diverse group of people, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stress relieving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Class Delivery: Design and lead safe, effective, and inclusive Yoga classes
- Participant Engagement: Provide a high level of care and class instruction to encourage participation and retention.
- Safety & Modification: Offer progressions and regressions to accommodate various fitness levels and ensure all participants exercise safely.
- Communication: Represent Curtis Health professionally in all interactions with clients.
Experience & Skills
- Instructional Excellence: Proven ability to lead Yoga classes with clear cueing and proper form correction.
- Professionalism: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with participants.
- Adaptability: Comfortable modifying lesson plans on the fly based on the specific needs or injuries of participants.
- Reliability: Exceptional punctuality and a commitment to the scheduled class times.
Qualifications & Certifications
- Ability to work in Canada
- Yoga certification
- Valid First Aid and CPR (Canadian source and with an in-person component)
- Minimum $2 million personal liability insurance
Schedule & Compensation
- Rate: $40-50/class, depending on experience and skillset.
- Hours: Saturdays, 10:00-10:45am
- Location: Residential building near King George Hub in Surrey
- Opportunity for additional classes: Once an instructor joins our roster, they are eligible for further teaching opportunities.
