National Office Coordinator

The Association of United Ukrainian Canadians (AUUC) is hiring an office coordinator. This position is based in Winnipeg and is a permanent position. Office Coordinator primarily works alone.
About the AUUC:
The AUUC is a not-for-profit organization representing Ukrainian Canadians of many generations. Our work, and those of our affiliated organization, is cultural, social/political in nature. The AUUC has continuously represented Ukrainian Canadians for more than 100 years.
Permanent: hours per week (5 x 7-hour work days).
Start date: Immediately.
Salary: $24.00 per hour.
Duties:
The office co-ordinator works under the direction of the National President and National Treasurer and to a lesser extent the National Executive Committee and National Committee. The role of the office coordinator is to ensure that the day-to-day business of the Association is carried out in an efficient and timely manner. The office coordinator is required to have excellent time management skills and interact with AUUC members and the public.
The office coordinator ensures that directions from the National Convention, the National Committee (NC) and or the National Executive Committee (NEC) are addressed and completed within the parameters of the AUUC Constitution. Attendance at AUUC National meetings is part of the duties and requires flexible work hours to meet this commitment. The office coordinator will provide regular written activity reports to the NEC and NC at AUUC meetings. They will work with and direct the work of other employee(s) when necessary. The office coordinator is responsible for ordering supplies, maintaining office equipment and maintaining the condition of the office.
Qualifications /Experience:
The successful candidate will posses:
· 3-5 years of related experience – office administration, program coordination, etc.
· Good understanding of the culture, governance, and polices of not for profit associations
· The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and work in a team environment.
· Be proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel).
· Have good communication skills.
· Be proficient in the English language.
· While not required ability in the Ukrainian language is an asset.
Assets
Comfortable with organizing meetings using online platforms (such as zoom or Teams)
Desirable but not mandatory, experience with Microsoft Access and mail merge
