We are seeking a skilled Manual/Conventional CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge and experience with CNC machinery, including CNC lathes and milling machines. This role involves setting up, programming, and operating CNC equipment to produce precision parts according to detailed specifications. The successful applicant will be proficient in reading blueprints, using CAD and SolidWorks, and applying basic math skills to ensure high-quality output. Job Responsibilities:
- Verify dimensions or tolerances, using instruments such as micrometers or vernier calipers;
- Machine parts to specifications in accordance with engineering drawings, using machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders;
- Set up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools used to perform precision machining operations;
- Measure, examine, or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments, such as micrometers;
- Diagnose machine tool malfunctions to determine need for adjustments or repairs;
- Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify issues;
- Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects;
- Dispose of scrap or waste material in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations;
- Separate scrap waste and related materials for reuse, recycling, or disposal;
- Lay out, measure, and mark metal stock to display placement of cuts;
- Evaluate machining procedures and recommend changes or modifications for improved efficiency or adaptability;
- Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages;
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and programs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma / GED and certificate in Machining is a must;
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines (radial drilling, lathes, grinders etc.);
- Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers) take accurate measurements;
- Knowledge of properties of metal and other material;
- Intermediate mathematical skills is required;
- Must know how to read blueprints/drawings and follow engineering instructions.
Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
