Customer Delivery Specialist
Leduc, AB
Nalco Champion, an Ecolab Company, has an immediate need for a Customer Delivery Specialist to join our Supply Chain group located in Leduc, AB. You will be responsible for providing customer delivery of bulk chemicals throughout British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. As a Customer Delivery Specialist, you'll safely operate multiple configuration bulk trucks over congested city highways, rolling and mountainous terrain and rural roads. In addition, you’ll provide preventative maintenance of any type of vehicle used to deliver chemicals to customers, plants and warehouse locations.

What You Will Do:
Operates vehicle in a safe and environmentally responsible manner and maintains accurate and complete records pertaining to the transportation of dangerous goods
Operates the transport unit business to maintain and improve profitability by managing all aspects of operational costs
Assists in developing operating systems and procedures which reduce costs, maintain quality and ensure safe product delivery
Conducts daily pre and post-trip inspections in order to maintain the condition and safe operation of the truck and equipment
Verifies and confirms trucking documentation is completed in accordance with an established company and regulatory requirements
Confirms product placement and volumes are correct according to documentation including load sheets, bills of lading and trip log
Completes all training and maintains appropriate certification and licensing as required by law for the transportation of dangerous goods
Adheres to and maintains all applicable company, legal and regulatory requirements

Territory/Location Information:
This position is based in Leduc, AB

Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Possess a current Class 1 License
5 years oilfield hauling experience
5 years of an acceptable motor vehicle record
Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
Must possess a strong safety focus and a demonstrated history of safe practices
Certified in WHMIS, TDG, First Aid and H2S
Must possess strong reading comprehension, writing, and mathematical abilities

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience operating forklifts, drum dollies, trailer hoists, chemical pumps, hoses, meters, printers, and gauge
Experience handling products in various types of packages including bulk and drums
Ability to back straight trucks, semi-trucks, and trailers into narrow passages through expensive industrial equipment
Experience with transportation of bulk liquids
Knowledge of equipment, compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT regulations governing the transportation of hazardous materials
