We are looking for reliable and experienced Restoration Lead Technician that have an active Working at Heights Certification to join our awesome client in Ottawa's south end for restoration work at job sites throughout the city. Opportunities with this client include fire & smoke remediation, water mitigation, asbestos abatement, climate control, mold remediation, media blasting, bio/trauma scene clean-up, and content processing. We are actively looking for someone who has a led a crew in a previous restoration role, so all interested candidates must have at least 1-2 years experience.
Shifts can begin as early as 7:00 am with varying end-times from Monday to Friday. This position is ongoing.
Overtime and premiums to be expected.
Key job responsibilities:
- Lead a crew on various restoration projects
- Willingness to work in dusty and dirty environment for extended periods of time
- Assist in day-to-day activities
- Loading and unloading of materials and equipment
- Job site clean-up, and various maintenance tasks as needed
- Ability to be available for on-call work if needed
In this job you must:
- G2 Driver's license and your own vehicle
- Must be able to be on-call once a month for a week
- Possess an active Working At Heights Certification
- Provide your own CSA-approved steel toe boots
- Willingness to work in a variety of environmental conditions (dusty/dirty, indoors/ outdoors, hot/ cold)
- Be willing to wear a respirator for certain tasks
- Ability to work for extended periods of time
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Have problem-solving and organizational skills
