Norseman is one of the largest suppliers and manufacturers of industrial fabric, foam, and film products in North America. We are looking to add a Fiercely Reliable Machinery Mechanic at our Newmarket location. The Machinery Mechanic will maintain and repair mechanical equipment in the Norseman manufacturing facility.

Job Duties
- Inspects and examines machinery and equipment in the Norseman manufacturing facility to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
- Adjusts machinery and repairs or replaces defective parts
- Performs preventative maintenance on a regular basis, by cleaning and lubricating parts on the various machines
- Works with the Millwright to fabricate new machinery parts when necessary
- Adheres to the Norseman Safety program closely and practices safe work procedures at all times
- Wears personal, protective equipment
Requirements
- 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Previous experience in a machine shop setting would be an asset
- Communicates effectively in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
- Be physically fit and able to lift up to 40lbs.

Work Conditions
- Warehouse setting, Monday through Friday, day shift; overtime will be required as per business needs
- Position requires frequent walking and standing, and occasional crouching/kneeling
