skilled professionals, Armour is presently seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join our growing team
from our downtown Halifax location.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for processing and
maintaining the complete payroll cycle as well as administering all aspects of employee benefits
as defined under the group’s benefit plan.
As the Payroll Coordinator, you will:
- Establish, maintain and update payroll information for new and existing employees by
reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions,
and job titles, and department/ division transfers.
- Collaborating with accounting and human resources to ensure accuracy of data.
- Processing multiple payrolls using Ceridian Dayforce software, including hourly and
salaried employees.
- Be a client-focused service provider by resolving issues and answering payroll-related
questions in a timely manner.
- Administering and enrolling into employee/employer benefits plans including health,
dental, insurance and RRSP contributions according to employment contracts and
company policy.
- Preparing ROE’s as required, and assisting with T4’s at year end using Ceridian software..
- Review and reconcile benefit invoices monthly
- Posting the GL reports from Dayforce to accounting system.
- Other duties as assigned by Payroll Manager
What we’re looking for:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar type of role.
