Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Man/Light Bodywork technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles for repair and ensuring they meet quality standards before they are worked on by the body shop team. Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicles for bodywork by removing parts and accessories as needed.
- Perform light bodywork tasks including sanding, filling, and priming surfaces.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete assigned tasks.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with other technicians to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while performing duties.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dealership or automotive repair setting is preferred.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary.
- Experience as a mechanic or in light bodywork is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
