The Barista is responsible for delivering a highly consistent, premium beverage experience through technical proficiency, attention to detail, and efficient service execution. This includes operating and calibrating espresso equipment to ensure optimal beverage quality at all times.
BEVERAGE QUALITY & EQUIPMENT MASTERY
- Demonstrate proficiency in operating commercial espresso machines and grinders
- Calibrate espresso grind size, dose, and extraction timing throughout the day
- Monitor shot quality, extraction consistency, milk texture, and beverage presentation
- Ensure all beverages meet Sewar standards for taste, temperature, and appearance
- Maintain consistency during both low and high-volume service periods
CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
- Deliver a welcoming, polished, and professional customer experience
- Engage customers confidently and assist with menu selections
- Maintain composure, urgency, and professionalism during peak hours
- Ensure customer concerns are addressed promptly and professionally
SPEED & EXECUTION
- Prepare beverages within defined service time expectations
- Balance speed with quality and consistency at all times
- Maintain workflow efficiency and support overall service flow during busy periods
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience operating espresso machines and grinders preferred
- Strong understanding of espresso calibration and extraction principles
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Professional attitude with strong communication skills
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
