As a Hotel Duty Manager, you will assist the Hotel Manager with hotel resources to ensure guest satisfaction. You will responsible for supervising hotel operations by allocating tasks to hotel staff, and ensuring high efficiency of service.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Supervising front office staff, including Front Desk Agents and Bellmen, to ensure a high level of customer service is maintained at all times
Troubleshooting all guest issues/problems, and determining and processing any compensation to guests
Maintaining open communication with housekeeping staff, owners, and all Central Reservations departments
Having knowledge of the Strata involvement/rules in the hotel, ensuring that any Strata issues are reported to the Hotel Manager
Assisting with the organization of front office information including creating necessary files and folders
Developing a good understanding of the Village layout, and being able to give directions to all units in the rental pool as well as amenities on the mountain
Being able to supply guests with all information that they need to be able to enjoy their stay
Ensuring all walk-in bookings adhere to Big White Central Reservations payment/cancellation policies
Ensuring accurate information is provided to all clients with respect to all Big White and Central Reservations products and services
Assisting with all incoming telephone inquiries
Assisting hotel guests with general questions and inquiries
Assisting the housekeeping department when necessary
Ensuring the front office and lobby areas are clean and tidy at all times
Ensuring all staff are adhering to health and safety protocols and wearing proper uniforms
Assisting with any other reasonable requests made by the Hotel Manager or Central Reservations Manager
