Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Concrete Truck Driver to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating concrete mixer trucks to deliver and pour concrete at various construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Concrete Truck Driver plays a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of concrete, supporting the successful completion of construction projects.
Duties
- Safely operate and drive concrete mixer trucks to transport concrete to designated sites
- Ensure proper mixing and delivery of concrete according to project specifications
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and equipment, reporting any issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each load
- Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed, including operation of loaders or other heavy equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and traffic laws during transportation and delivery
- Communicate effectively with project managers, site supervisors, and team members regarding delivery schedules and site conditions
- Support other construction activities such as paving, concrete forming, or finishing as required
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for heavy trucks
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance
- Experience with construction sites, including paving, concrete forming, or finishing is preferred
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as loaders, excavators, or other construction equipment is a plus
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to construction and transportation industries
- Strong driving record with a focus on safety and reliability
- Physical ability to handle lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions
- Prior experience in concrete truck driving or similar roles is highly desirable
