About the Role
AutoShack is hiring a hands-on Retail Assistant Manager for our Orleans location inside RONA.
This role is for a dependable retail leader who can support daily store operations, assist customers, supervise staff, drive sales, maintain inventory accuracy, and help keep the store running smoothly.
This is not a desk-based role. The successful candidate will be active on the sales floor, handling customers, phones, sales, inventory, stocking, staff follow-up, and daily store execution.
What You Will Do
- Support the Store Manager with daily retail operations
- Act as Manager-on-Duty during assigned shifts
- Open and close the store according to company procedures
- Lead by example with customers, staff, and store standards
- Coach team members on customer service, sales, and operational expectations
- Support sales performance, warranty attachment, and customer satisfaction
- Monitor staff workflow, attendance, and task completion
- Maintain inventory accuracy, stock organization, and merchandising standards
- Assist with receiving, stocking, returns, and product movement
- Handle customer and staff issues professionally
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of retail leadership, supervisory, or management experience
- Strong customer service and sales experience
- Experience in a corporate, multi-location, or structured retail environment preferred
- Comfortable supervising staff and holding team members accountable
- Strong multitasking, follow-up, and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently during assigned shifts
- Full-time availability, including evenings and weekends
- Reliable transportation and reasonable commute to Orleans
- Valid driver’s licence preferred
- Willingness to travel up to 10% for training, meetings, or store support
Strong Assets
- Automotive, auto parts, tools, hardware, electronics, or similar retail experience
- High-volume retail experience
- Inventory, receiving, stock accuracy, or shrink reduction experience
- Experience working with sales targets, KPIs, or performance scorecards
- Experience coaching, training, or developing team members
Essential Physical Duties
This is a physically active retail leadership role. Candidates must be comfortable:
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Bending, lifting, carrying, and moving inventory
- Stocking shelves and unloading shipments
- Handling automotive products and multiple boxes during the shift
- Safely lifting and moving products up to 50 lbs as required
- Working in a fast-paced retail and warehouse-style environment
