We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive mechanical knowledge and experience in maintaining and repairing various types of heavy equipment and industrial machinery. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively, and a commitment to ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. Reporting to the shop manager.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including but not limited to pavers, gomacos, rollers, skid steers, loaders, graders, floor saws, gradall.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Assemble and disassemble machinery components as needed for repairs.
- Conduct inspections on industrial equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and parts used.
- Collaborate with the shop manager to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Operate heavy equipment when necessary to assist in repairs or maintenance tasks.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing all duties.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in heavy equipment operation.
- Proficiency in maintaining and repairing road construction equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively and efficiently.
- Experience with assembling and disassembling complex machinery components.
- Familiarity with construction equipment maintenance practices.
- Capability to operate equipment safely as part of the repair process.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and collaboration.

Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 80 per week
