Position Description:
Partner with ED&T, understand/anticipate IRAD needs, participate in design IPTs and proactively implement innovative procurement approaches to support IRAD initiatives.
Support business pursuits; identify opportunities for new commodities/services to meet IRAD needs. Stay abreast of market and industry trends.
Cultivate and manage supplier relationships. Support execution of the work including: risk mitigation, issue resolution, payment plan management, delivery performance, review and approval of deliverables, cost and change management.
Support bid and proposal activities including: negotiating scope of work, terms and conditions, cost and schedule for best value award.
Promote innovation and continuous improvement initiatives
Position Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
University degree or College diploma in Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline
Minimum 3-5 years SCM or relevant experience
Exceptional communication, organization, problem solving and decision making skills
Superior interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration
Strong negotiating skills and the ability to influence others
Creative and innovative thinker
Proficient in MS Office applications and Oracle
Ability to travel up to 10% as required and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous Supply Chain Management experience
Technical aptitude
Financial aptitude
