About the Clinic:
Nabat Health Center is a newly established clinic located in Uptown New Westminster. The clinic provides services for racialized, refugee, and BIPOC patients and is queer-centered, fat-inclusive and trans affirming. We are looking to add a passionate and skilled practitioner to our multidisciplinary team on-site. The vision of Nabat Health Centre is to offer counselling, physical therapy, and primary care all under one roof. As the first clinic of its kind in British Columbia, you will get a chance to be part of a values-driven work environment that puts people first. New graduates welcome to apply.
Qualifications:
- Registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC
- Professional liability insurance
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Obtaining appropriate permits/licenses/registrations
Skills:
In addition to providing evidence-based manual therapy, treatment, assessment and interventions, we are looking for candidates who are knowledgeable in the following areas:
- Record keeping using Jane EMR
- Trauma-informed and gender inclusive assessment and treatment practises
- Gender affirming practices, including pre-and post op treatment and preparations
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments with a root-cause lens, including history, lifestyle, diet, etc in a non-shaming, non-pathologizing manner
- Pelvic floor treatment training
- Familiarity and integrating HAES principles, or willingness to learn
- Being bilingual is an asset
What we offer:
The clinic space is newly renovated, bright and spacious that include: onsite parking, bike lockers, and a shower/changing room. We offer a supportive team environment where you can focus on your job and duties. Our staff and contractors’ work-life balance, professional development, and mental well-being are important to us. The overhead split (15-30%) for this position will depend on your education, training and experience.
