RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reports to the Executive Director and works with the Client Services Team to ensure procedures and protocols are followed in a timely manner for all residents accepted to Wagner Hills Farm Society and participating in the program.
- Supports Admissions & CST Coordinator with the initial intake process.
- Assists with resident orientation into the program following established procedures for enrollment upon arrival and throughout the duration of the program.
- Works with the Operations Manager to implement the full program at Wagner Hills Farm Society — including participation and leadership in meetings, teaching classes, scheduling and attending functions on-site and in the community.
- Conducts personal service plan meetings with each resident monthly, developing goal-oriented, individually tailored plans, measuring progress, amending goals as needed, and building supports for implementation.
- Collaborates with the Client Services Team to supervise practicum students who are seeking training in a related field.
- Ensures all required documents are on file, including personal service plan reports.
OUTCOMES
- Monthly Personal Service Plans are consistently developed, documented, and updated on time for every resident, reflecting individualized goals and measurable progress.
- Residents demonstrate growth in recovery capital, life skills, and personal goals as reflected in PSP reviews and transition planning outcomes.
- Compliance with the Assisted Living Act is maintained at all times, with all required documentation filed accurately and on schedule.
- Practicum students and staff receive meaningful supervision and mentorship, reporting a supportive learning environment.
- The Client Services Team operates cohesively, with trauma-informed practices consistently embedded in resident support and program delivery.
- Supports residents transitioning out of the program by collaborating with Program Support Social Worker to ensure smooth, successful exits and positive long-term outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary education in social work, psychology, or counselling preferred; Registered Social Worker designation is an asset.
- Recovery Coach certification and/or Recovery Capital training are assets.
- Knowledge of the Assisted Living Act requirements in B.C. with regard to Assisted Living and Community Care facilities; knowledge of resources locally and inter-provincially.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a social work capacity or within a residential addiction treatment or recovery facility.
- Ability to provide program supervision and to manage and train staff.
- Exceptional leadership, mentorship, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively and function calmly in situations requiring a high degree of sensitivity, tact, and diplomacy.
- Flexible and adaptable with strong conflict resolution skills; comfortable leading in fast-paced and changing environments.
- Sound clinical judgment with the ability to assess resident needs and capacity, and to assist residents with setting and achieving appropriate goals.
- Experience working with addiction, post-traumatic stress, and mental health concerns.

Salary: $58,000 - $65,000 per year
