We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter with at least 5 years of experience to join our growing team. This is a flexible position with the opportunity to transition from part-time to full-time, depending on workload and performance. Travel to various job sites within the region, and including outside of the Halifax Regional Municipality, is part of the role.

Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 24 hours to 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform carpentry work on a variety of renovation projects, including decks, bathrooms, kitchens, basements, and more.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Measure and cut materials according to specifications.
- Install, repair, and maintain various woodwork and structures.
- Travel to various job sites, including locations outside of the Halifax Regional Municipality.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role in construction or woodworking.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site.
- Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with team member.
- Ability to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.
Requirements:
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
- Education related to carpentry is an asset, as are any certifications or training.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (must be able to travel to various job sites, including those outside of the Halifax Regional Municipality, carpool with team members).
- At least 5 years of hands-on carpentry experience.
- Must have own personal carpentry tools and gears such as steel toe safety boots, tape measure, etc.
- Experience with deck building, and residential renovations (bathrooms, kitchens, basements, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- References required.
Compensation:
- Rate is from $23 to $29 depending on experience. The pay rate will increase accordingly as you demonstrate skills and quality of work.
- Health insurance offered after probation period.
- No weekend work required.
