If you’re an experienced assistant looking for a new challenge then look no further. As a member of the Mississauga Regional Office within the Directorate of Nuclear Substance Regulation, you will be supporting the management team in delivering on key commitments.

Organizational Information
The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission regulates the use of nuclear energy and materials to protect health, safety, security and the environment, and to implement Canada's international commitments on the peaceful use of nuclear energy; and to disseminate objective scientific, technical and regulatory information to the public.

Along with nuclear power plants, the CNSC regulates many other types of nuclear facilities and applications. These include: uranium mines and mills; facilities that process uranium and fabricate nuclear fuel; research facilities; nuclear substances, such as medical isotopes used to treat cancer; and specialized instruments, such as industrial radiography cameras and nuclear gauges.

Essential Qualifications:Education:
Minimum High School Diploma

Experience:
  • Managing multiple calendars, preparing meeting materials and scheduling meetings for management level positions.
  • Handling correspondence administration, including drafting correspondence, document management, proofreading and editing meeting materials and reports.
  • Tracking and monitoring the finances of a business unit.
  • Providing administrative support services to a multi-disciplinary team.
Knowledge of:
  • Office administrative processes; document management, finance/budget, security, procurement, human resources and planning functions.
  • Reviewing, editing and revising a wide variety of correspondence materials.
Language Requirements:
English essential
