Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company's outgoing payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing invoices, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. Your expertise in accounting software and data entry will help streamline our accounts payable processes, supporting the overall financial health of the organization. Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices using accounting software such as Workday, QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft, ensuring all data entries are accurate and complete.
- Manage accounts payable transactions by matching purchase orders, receipts, and invoices for proper approval and payment.
- Reconcile accounts payable ledger by verifying entries and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and schedule payments via ADP, Ceridian, UltiPro, or other payroll systems while adhering to company policies.
- Maintain organized records of all invoices, payments, and vendor correspondence for audit readiness.
- Collaborate with the accounts receivable team to ensure seamless financial operations and accurate account reconciliation.
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable and support analysis of financial data as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with accounting software such as Workday, QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with accounts receivable processes and general bookkeeping practices.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems like UltiPro or Ceridian for payroll processing is a plus.
- Excellent analysis skills to identify discrepancies and resolve account issues efficiently.
- Basic understanding of human resources functions related to vendor management and invoice processing.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy in all work activities.
