As we continue to expand, we're looking for an organized, proactive Operations & Logistics Coordinator to take ownership of our warehouse, inventory, purchasing, and logistics operations.
Position Summary
The Operations & Logistics Coordinator plays a key role in keeping our operation running efficiently. This position is responsible for purchasing ingredients and packaging, coordinating shipping and receiving, maintaining inventory accuracy and lot traceability, organizing warehouse operations, and ensuring production has the materials needed to meet customer deadlines.
This is a hands-on position that also assists with production during busy periods. We're looking for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and is comfortable working both at a computer and on the production floor.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments.
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming ingredients and packaging.
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders and report discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory and lot traceability using Tracktile inventory management software.
- Perform routine inventory counts and assist with annual physical inventory.
- Source ingredients, packaging, and operational supplies from approved suppliers.
- Request supplier quotations and prepare purchase orders.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials to support production schedules.
- Coordinate freight pickups and deliveries with carriers.
- Prepare shipping documents and customer orders.
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
- Organize warehouse storage to maximize efficiency and maintain food safety standards.
- Stage ingredients and packaging for production.
- Assist with production, packaging, and material handling during peak production periods.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe production environment.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse organization, inventory control, and operational efficiency.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, inventory control, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of shipping and receiving experience.
- Minimum 2 years of forklift operating experience.
- Minimum 1 year of purchasing, procurement, inventory planning, or supplier coordination experience.
- Experience using inventory management, ERP, or warehouse management software.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs).
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in food manufacturing.
- Experience with Tracktile or similar inventory and traceability software.
- Forklift certification.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, or food safety systems.
Training Provided
The successful candidate will receive company-paid training, including:

- Forklift refresher training (if required)
