Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Food Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences, possess strong customer service skills, and be well-versed in food handling and sanitation protocols. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS are preferred but not required. The Food Server will be responsible for ensuring guests receive prompt, courteous service while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive guest services throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while ensuring presentation quality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth restaurant operations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables promptly during busy periods
- Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing inquiries, special requests, or concerns professionally
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality industry preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols within the food industry
- Ability to perform basic math for cashiering and order accuracy
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and hospitality standards
