Human Resources Administrator Job Description
Position Description:
Reporting to and working closely with the Executive Director, the HR Administrator will be responsible for many varied functions involved in the operation of a non-profit child care organization. This person will be a member of the management team and will be involved in planning for increased growth of the organization while keeping our vision at the forefront of all decisions.
This a permanent Full-time position. Compensation includes Health Benefits (after 3 months) and a Group RRSP program (after one year).
Hourly wage commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Ensure staff receive all protections and considerations as required by the Employment Standards Act, Ontario Human Rights Act, Occupational Health and Safety, and any other relevant legislation
- Foster positive relationships and communication with employees
- Ensure employee concerns are addressed in a timely manner
- Participate in the development and maintenance of Employee Policies and Procedures
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, progressive discipline, and termination procedures
- Ensure the completion of regular employee evaluations
- Ensure employee health benefits are properly managed and employee information is up-to-date
- Ensure accurate employee records and participation in the organization’s Group RRSP program
- Manage time off requests and employee leave
- Manage staff files
- Ensure proper procedures are followed in WSIB matters
- Participate in job fairs and other events promoting the organization
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Management, or equivalent
- Experience in Human Resources, Leadership, and/or Management, preferably in the non-profit sector
- Computer experience including Microsoft Office, iOS, and ability to quickly learn child care management software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience working in a fast-paced dynamic team
- Self-starter who shows initiative and recognizes the importance of flexibility and collaborating with team members
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
