PRIVATE MUSIC INSTRUCTOR – NORTH EDMONTON
Dominelli School of Music is seeking friendly, dependable music instructors to provide private lessons to students in North Edmonton.
We are currently accepting applications from instructors who teach piano, guitar, voice, drums, violin, ukulele or other instruments.
ABOUT THE POSITION
- Provide engaging, personalized 30-minute private music lessons
- Adapt lessons to each student’s age, interests, goals and learning style
- Work with students of diverse abilities, including students with autism, ADHD and other disabilities or additional learning needs
- Travel between scheduled student locations within North Edmonton
- Provide brief lesson notes and learning resources following each lesson
- Maintain dependable attendance and professional communication
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong proficiency in at least one instrument
- Music teaching experience is preferred
- Patient, encouraging and comfortable adapting lessons for students with disabilities
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence
- Smartphone with email and navigation access
- Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check, or willingness to obtain one
SCHEDULE
Weekday afternoon and evening availability and/or weekend daytime availability - scheduled based upon your availability. Students are generally scheduled in recurring weekly time slots within organized St. Albert areas.
COMPENSATION
$22 per scheduled 30-minute student appointment. Instructors work as independent contractors and provide their own vehicle.
