The Office of Student Progression & Registrar (SPR) ensures adherence to academic regulations and processes that facilitate the provision of valued credentials. A strategic partner in program and student success, the SPR champions NAIT’s educational model and provides subject matter expertise on admissions, enrolment, and student information system solutions and data.
Reporting directly to the Manager, Process Improvement, the Systems Coordinator is responsible for guiding the Systems team to meet service level, reporting, and process improvement objectives by providing leadership, training and mentorship. This team operates in a fast-paced, high-volume environment that provides operational support for student information systems. The Systems Team Coordinator engages with a wide variety of stakeholders both within the SPR and the wider NAIT community to help the team capture business requirements, resolve issues, and provide recommendations to optimize systems. They are responsible for providing timely reports, data analysis, and recommendations on various enrolment and progression-related activities.
Responsibilities of the role include:
Train and perform evaluations for staff
Prioritize team assignments and monitor service levels
Coordinate analysis and response to systems issues
Provide recommendations to optimize system setup in support of business needs
Establish and maintain internal processes and quality assurance
Supervise the preparation of key system audits and government reports
Contribute to strategic planning, initiatives, guidelines, and procedures.
Represent the SPR on and/or lead work teams, committees, and planning groups both internal to NAIT and external within the community.
Knowledge and Skills:
In-depth knowledge of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions configuration, processes and security
A strong track record of developing workplans and achieving desired outcomes
Substantial experience in prioritizing effectively in a high-stress, high-volume environment
Demonstrated ability to learn new software and apply best practices in software implementation methodology.
Strong written and verbal communication, customer service, and conflict resolution skills
Use of data extraction tools such as PeopleSoft Query Manager or SQL
Business analysis skills including gathering requirements, research techniques, data analysis, design, and testing.
Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and keyboarding skills.
Post-secondary diploma or degree required
3 – 5 years experience in a post-secondary environment required.
5 – 10 years experience in operational support preferably for an ERP system required.
1 – 2 years experience with supervising, coaching, and employee development
CBAP or equivalent is an asset.
Remuneration: $2,761.77 – $3,699.58 bi-weekly plus a comprehensive benefit plan
(Classification: Process Analyst II).
