Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor who holds licenses as both a Millwright and Electrician, with specific expertise in the automotive sector. This role will oversee maintenance operations critical to our manufacturing processes, ensuring optimal equipment performance and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure effective operations.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and maximize productivity in alignment with production schedules.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment, identifying and addressing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues promptly.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment longevity and compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and production departments to plan and execute machinery upgrades, installations, and modifications.
- Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring availability for maintenance needs and minimizing production disruptions.
- Oversee the troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems, including PLCs, motor controls, and instrumentation.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to maintenance activities.
- Evaluate and optimize maintenance processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Monitor and analyze equipment performance metrics, implementing corrective actions as needed to achieve operational targets.
- Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and teamwork among maintenance personnel.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or similar role within the automotive industry.
- Licensed Millwright and Electrician with a deep understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
- Knowledge of PLC programming, robotics, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems preferred.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Effective communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
Education and Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or degree in a related field preferred.
- Valid Millwright and Electrician licenses/certifications required.
