This position offers an exciting and challenging opportunity for a highly motivated team player with a can-do attitude. We are looking for a forward thinking sales management professional with a proficiency industrial electrical products and applications, to develop and maintain sales of Graybar Canada solutions within the Ontario market. This position reports directly to the Vice President – Central Region.
Major Responsibilities:
- Meet and exceed Industrial sales targets in the Ontario region.
- Lead the Industrial sales strategy regionally. Provide strategic direction, coaching and employee development as needed.
- Responsible for developing regional vendor strategies to grow market share in Ontario and supporting Branch Managers and regional Industrial Account Managers in their local markets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers and prospective customers in the territory.
- Develop and maintain relationships with manufacturer partners to ensure Graybar Canada is positioned as a strong channel partner in the region.
- Analyze sales and Industrial opportunity funnel using SalesForce, MITS and Power BI tools
- Support Automation Manager to ensure they have the tools and resources to attain and exceed their approved budgets.
- Maintain regular communications with the Automation Team and Industrial Account Managers through regular sales meetings, product meetings, etc.
- Responsible for managing and developing customer training seminars.
- Play a key role in developing branch relationships to ensure that Automation Specialists are properly utilized as a resource.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Business or Technical degree / diploma or equivalent in Marketing, Management, Electrical, Automation preferred.
- High-level knowledge of electrical and/or automation products.
- A “hunter” mentality when it comes to new business development.
- A proven ability to mentor and coach a winning sales team.
- Exhibits excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong negotiating skills.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and warehousing.
- Able to prioritize work and work independently.
- Has the ability to be flexible with working hours. Travel is required within the region
- Consistently able to meet deadlines competently and in a timely fashion.
- Possesses strong relationship building skills to cultivate and develop customer loyalty.
- Practice excellent spoken and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
