Turnkey Modular Systems Inc. (TKMS) is a custom fabricator with an in-house team of professionals dedicated to the engineering, design, fabrication and delivery of Integrated Process Modular Systems.
Our services include Preliminary and Detailed Process Design, 3-D Modeling, Modular Construction, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Installation, Start-Up and Commissioning.
TKMS is globally recognized for our unique expertise in the Design and Modular Construction of Custom-Designed Built to Order Process Systems and Modules specifically for the Biotech and Pharmaceutical Industries.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This full time position is responsible for examination and testing of parts before, during and after fabrication per quality standards of TKMS, ensuring that all required inspections are performed, accepted and signed off before the next step of fabrication proceeds.
4 Day Week Schedule
Duties and Responsibilities
Read blue prints and specifications.
Perform visual welding inspection on all high purity piping and pressure piping per ASME BPE guidelines and ASME B31.3 respectively and/or client specification.
Verify the coupons prepared by the welders for non-accessible welds and generate Weld Coupon Log.
Verify the provided welds for spools have the following condition:
a. Welds wire brushed clean.
b. Welder ID number vibro-etched beside weld.
c. Date of weld vibro-etched beside weld.
d. Spool ID vibro-etched on spool.
e. Material Heat numbers vibro-etched on each piece
Record each weld on Weld Log and Weld Map documents.
Ensure welders and pipefitters are following the Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
Measure products with rulers, calipers, micrometers, or gauges.
Perform borescope inspection, evaluate, and determine if defects are acceptable or not based on ASME Code and Client requirements.
Perform dimensional, confirm orientations, verify material grade / spec and heat numbers, and visual welding inspection on frames, skids and structural steel per manufacturer’s drawings and approved code and standards.
Inform welders and fitters when defects are found.
Check and control the NDE requirements for the project (% of inspections).
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment as welding inspector.
· Valid CWB Level II Welding Inspector Certification or SNT-TC-1A Visual Testing Level II certificate.
· Understands standard quality metrics, Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) calculations, Definitions of Done (DoD) quality requirements, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
· Effective problem solving, root cause analytical skills.
· Knowledge about welding discontinuities.
· Demonstrates strong written and verbal communications skills.
