Reporting to the CFO, this role will provide thought leadership and have ownership of the Data Science & Analytics and Market Research functions at LifeLabs.

This role is to be a key champion and enabler of customer-focused, data-led insights. This position is integral to business growth, requiring strong technical expertise, business acumen and people leadership. This includes the ability to pair data science, decision intelligence, and business development in support of revenue growth.

Core Accountabilities:
Oversee the Data Science function: including the 3yr Analytic roadmap, integration with technology function, analytic innovation.
Oversee the Analytics & Insight function: including ongoing insight improvement & result optimization, story-telling, actionable insight development
Oversee the Market Research function including strategic market research, competitive and market intelligence, and customer experience programs.
Working with the business to identify opportunities to optimize performance, to develop or improve existing strategies and to deepen existing customer and LifeLabs’ relationships
Providing thought leadership and collaborating with senior stakeholders to develop the short-term and long-term business strategy.
Providing leadership & talent management to the Analytics and Research team. This includes talent mapping, personal development plans & ongoing coaching to success.

Minimum Hiring Requirements:
MBA or Master of Science, and Health Informatics(HI)
8 years experience leading data science teams with experience building and operationalizing analytic thought-leadership, customer and product centric strategies, helping clients increase their sales, boost profits and drive customer engagement.
Familiarity with decision sciences, data technologies, predictive analytics, econometric modeling, customer insights, visualization tools with a solid understanding of best practices in data science.
Experience building strong internal relationships across multiple disciplines.
Strategic thinker with strong communication skills and deep experience in the application of advanced analytics and thought leadership in customer loyalty, retail analytics
Experience leading and developing data science / analytics department (keep the lights-on, R&D, ongoing optimizations) and monetization of the outputs.
Solid understanding of CRM, customer experience journeys.
