Construction and Engineering Surveyor
GPM Civil Group, a privately owned local firm, is looking for a construction and engineering surveyor to join our geomatics department. This is an excellent opportunity to join a group of industry leading experts and work in an inclusive environment with a great deal of autonomy on a variety of projects. Projects will be mainly in the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland region with potential for remote work on occasion.
You Will Be Offered

You Should Expect The Following Field Tasks
· Construction layout for heavy and light civil projects.
· Topographic pre-condition and asbuilt surveys.
· Control surveys.
· Monitor and deformation surveys.
You May Expect Depending On Experience, Or After Mentorship And Training Periods, Secondary Tasks Will Include
· Preparation of layout files using Civil 3D and MS Excel: points, lines, alignments, surfaces.
· Preparation of survey layout worksheets and result drawings, layout and topographic.
· Data processing, adjustments in Microsurvey.
· Data processing, surface modelling and volumetrics in Civil 3D.
You Must Have
· Previous construction related survey experience.
· Strong mathematic skills, plane geometry and 3D visualization
· Post-secondary education in the field of Geomatics is preferred but not required.
· Ability to communicate and report in an efficient and effective manner
· Ability to maintain a professional demeanor
· Strong organizational skills
· Valid driver’s license
