Plans, develops, leads, and monitors the logistics of all activities and operational procedures for the sports facilities under their responsibility. Manages financial, physical, equipment and human resources related to these facilities to optimize operations and continuously improve services, safety, and customer satisfaction at the sports facilities for which they are responsible.
University degree, preferably in a related field, or equivalent experience
At least three years’ experience in human resources management
At least two years’ experience as a sports facilities manager
Experience in managing the day-to-day operations of sports facilities
Experience in building management
Experience in managing projects, specifically in building infrastructure maintenance and renovation
Knowledge of, and experience in applying, all relevant safety codes and provincial regulations and legislation (such as the Fire Code, Ontario Building Code, Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and Ontario Regulation 565-Public Pools)
Experience in using computer systems such as: building automation systems, databases, email platforms, Internet browsers. Knowledge of software used in managing sports activities
Experience in working under pressure and in organizing own work to meet strict, firm deadlines
Knowledge of how to interpret and apply provincial regulations issued by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care
Knowledge of the standards and concepts involved in managing risk in sports facilities
Ability to work well both independently and in a team through good interpersonal skills with team members
Bilingualism — French/English (spoken and written)
