Summary

Precision Drilling a leading provider of safe and High Performance, High Value services to the oil and gas industry has recently implemented S/4 HANA 1809 to achieve a globally integrated ERP system that supports fast decision making with real-time data, insights and information.

Reporting to the IT Finance Team Lead, the IT SAP Functional Analyst will design, implement, deploy, and sustain SAP solutions to help Precision achieve its High Performance / High Value goals. This role will be heavily focused on ongoing improvement and expansion initiatives as well as supporting Precision’s SAP Financials modules. In addition, the successful candidate will also be required to configure and support Precision’s embedded Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) module.

The successful candidate will have detailed knowledge of how SAP enables end-to-end business processes and will advise our customers on the common risks and issues associated with SAP integration. This role is a sustainment role with opportunities to work on projects. This is an exciting opportunity which will see the successful candidate take a pivotal role in a rapidly growing team.

Responsibilities

Providing in depth SAP knowledge to help support business and project objectives with emphasis on the FI, CO and Asset Accounting modules.
Providing in depth BPC product knowledge to help support business and project objectives.
Configuration experience in Treasury and Project Systems is an asset.
Configuring SAP system according to new or changing business requirements.
Recommending process improvements and system solutions to assist business objectives.
Performing unit and integration tests
Preparing deliverables, including documentation and ABAP specification.
Communicating effectively with business users and internal teams to deliver functional requirements, assisting with documentation, creating process maps, etc.
Building and continually developing strong relationships with stakeholders to increase operational capabilities for Precision to deliver on its business strategy.
Assisting with developing and delivering improvements within the Accounting departments (which are global in nature) and across the wider PD Enterprise.

Education

University / college degree or equivalent experience combined with at least 5 years SAP Financials (FI/CO/AA) configuration experience

Experience

1 to 5+ years' experience in configuring, implementing and providing support in an SAP BPC 10.1 embedded financial planning and consolidations

Working knowledge of consolidations, currency translations, consolidations of investments and intercompany eliminations.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is required.

Experience with at least two full-cycle implementations for SAP Financials.

Experience working with the new GL or S4 HANA is required.

Experience in working in implementation and supporting OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) is an asset.
