Whole Health Pharmacy is a growing specialty pharmacy committed to improving patient outcomes through innovative, patient-centred care. As part of the Intrepid Health network, we work closely with physicians, specialists, nurses, and healthcare partners to deliver comprehensive pharmacy and infusion services across Ontario.
We are seeking an experienced Infusion Program Lead Pharmacist to lead the growth and operational excellence of our specialty and infusion pharmacy program.
Position Summary
The Infusion Program Lead Pharmacist will oversee the implementation, development, and ongoing management of specialty pharmacy and infusion services. This role requires a pharmacist with strong expertise in biologics, specialty medications, Patient Support Programs (PSPs), and collaboration with specialists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
The successful candidate must be based in the Greater Toronto Area and be willing to travel up to two hours from the GTA as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and expansion of specialty pharmacy and infusion programs.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, nurses, and clinic teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Manage biologic and specialty medication programs from referral through treatment.
- Coordinate with Patient Support Programs (PSPs), pharmaceutical manufacturers, and reimbursement providers.
- Develop and maintain clinical workflows, SOPs, and quality assurance processes.
- Ensure compliance with all Ontario College of Pharmacists standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor program performance and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
- Train, mentor, and support pharmacy staff involved in specialty and infusion services.
- Assist with business development initiatives to expand specialty pharmacy services.
Qualifications
- Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in specialty pharmacy, infusion pharmacy, or biologics.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Specialty medications and biologics
- Patient Support Programs (PSPs)
- Drug reimbursement and prior authorization processes
- Infusion therapy operations
- Experience working closely with specialists, hospitals, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Proven leadership and program implementation experience.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
Compensation
- Starting Salary: $100,000+ annually
- Performance Bonus: Up to 10% annually
