Job Summary
Legends Haul is looking for an Inside Sales team member to support daily sales activity, customer ordering, reporting, retail account follow-up, and internal sales operations.
This is an office-based role with no hybrid work. The core focus of the position is making daily retail sales calls, checking in with customers, gathering orders, supporting house accounts, entering orders accurately, and helping the sales team stay organized and accountable.
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, confident on the phone, comfortable with reporting and administration, and able to work in a fast-paced food business where customer service, urgency, and accuracy matter every day.
Role Responsibilities
- Make daily retail sales calls to customers to check in, gather orders, and support account activity
- Manage assigned house book accounts and maintain regular customer contact
- Receive and enter customer orders accurately and on time
- Review orders for accuracy, product availability, pricing, and customer requirements
- Follow up with customers on missed orders, recurring buying patterns, product opportunities, and account needs
- Support the Sales Manager with sales KPI tracking and reporting
- Prepare and maintain weekly sales reports, margin reports, below-sales reports, and other sales performance summaries
- Assist with listing forms, product documents, customer forms, and other sales administration
- Support internal sales reps with account information, reports, forms, customer updates, and promotional activity
- Assist with promotional and campaign work, including customer outreach, tracking, and follow-up
- Support customer use of the Legends Haul app, including basic troubleshooting, account support, and adoption follow-up
- Maintain accurate account notes, call records, customer updates, and order-related information
- Communicate customer feedback, product requests, order issues, and account risks to the Sales Manager
- Coordinate with order desk, operations, purchasing, production, finance, and other internal departments as needed
- Assist with customer credits, returns, shortages, invoice questions, or order discrepancies when required
- Help accounts payable with customer follow-up on overdue balances when needed
- Participate in sales meetings, planning sessions, and internal check-ins
- Follow all company procedures, values, policies, and safety requirements
- Complete other duties as assigned by management
Role Qualifications
- Experience in inside sales, customer service, sales support, order desk, retail, grocery, foodservice, hospitality, or food distribution is an asset
- Experience making outbound sales or customer service calls is an asset
- Strong phone communication and customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with order entry and reporting
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience with sales reports, order-entry systems, CRM, ERP, or customer apps is an asset
- Strong organization and time-management skills
- Ability to manage recurring daily tasks while responding to urgent customer needs
- Interest in food, grocery, retail, specialty products, and local brands
