WOLF is looking for a full-time Senior Engineer, Design Verification based in our office in Aurora, ON.
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Engineering (NPI HW/PCB/DV), you will play a pivotal role in leading design verification efforts to ensure product functionality and reliability.
In this position, you will be primarily responsible for developing and executing verification plans and strategies to meet product requirements and ensure the seamless integration of designs.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Developing and implementing verification plans to meet product requirements
- Collaborating with the design lead to create effective verification strategies
- Performing prototype bring-up, characterization, and environmental qualification testing
- Executing test cases and managing regression testing
- Troubleshooting functional issues and optimizing verification processes
- Creating and maintaining test reports and documentation
- Mentoring junior engineers on verification techniques and standards
- Contributing to continuous improvement in the engineering design process

To qualify, you will need a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in design verification, ideally in FPGA, MPSoC, or GPU design verification.
WOLF is a military and aerospace manufacturer requiring strict adherence to CGP and ITAR requirements. As a condition of employment, applicants must be able to provide valid documentation to show Canadian or US citizenship or Canadian Permanent Residency and undergo a police check with no criminal background.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
- Expertise with electrical measuring devices such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, protocol analyzers, and electronic loads
- Experience with video standards: SMPTE-424M (3G-SDI), SMPTE ST-2082 (12G-SDI), DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0, DVI, and analog video
- Proficiency with serial communication protocols, including UART, SPI, and I2C
- Familiarity with schematic and PCB tools, with preference for Cadence
- Experience working with Linux operating systems
- Knowledge of environmental test standards like MIL-STD-810 and experience with environmental cycling chambers (asset)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal English
- Ability to mentor junior engineers, and contribute to continuous improvement
