Journeyman Automotive Service Technician – Ford Specialist (Union Position)

Brown Bros Ford is expanding our dynamic service team! We are looking for a skilled, safety-conscious Automotive Technician who takes pride in delivering efficient, high-quality repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute Repairs: Complete work specified on repair orders efficiently and to dealership standards.
- Diagnose & Test: Use advanced electronic diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment to troubleshoot systems.
- Full-Vehicle Service: Maintain and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, and HVAC systems.
- Warranty Compliance: Perform manufacturer-specified warranty repairs accurately.
- Collaborate: Communicate directly with Service Advisors to provide precise repair time estimates and identify additional service needs.
Qualifications & Skills
- Certification: Red Seal Certification is preferred. Minimum Third year Apprentice will be considered.
- Brand Expertise: Ford/Lincoln certifications and previous dealership experience are highly preferred.
- Specialized Asset: 3+ years of experience with transmission overhauls and rebuilds is a major asset.
- Tech-Savvy: Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and comfort operating modern electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Drive to Learn: A positive attitude with a commitment to learning new vehicle technologies and repair procedures.
- Safety First: Thorough knowledge of shop safety protocols and standard workplace practices.
- Requirements: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Wage: From $40 to $46.57 per hour, depending on experience and certification
