Tucked away on Brunswick just south of Bloor, a next generation of hotel is currently being built. Our 24 room property will mix the best of boutique hotels, airbnb and cutting edge technology. We’re developing a modern hospitality company that will provide our guests with an authentic city experience, inspiring them to discover the neighbourhood and live like a local. We are currently seeking a Garde Manger who will realize our vision and exemplify a new approach to Toronto’s service industry.

We are focused on people, from staff to customers, straying from the traditional table steps of service, looking to put the classic model on its head. What you will do:
- Independently run the food program. You have creative control within vendors ideology. Meaning, you are able to expand and adjust the Annex breakfast and dinner menus as you see fit. You are someone who is ambitious, driven, passionate about working with food and as part of a team, and see this opportunity as a pre-curser to achieving future goals.
- Lead a team of sous chefs. Collectively, you will assemble breakfast/lunch and dinner prep with specific focus on plating.
- Be Responsible for ordering food, projecting and tracking sales of popular items, and creating a visual representation of assembled plates.
- Work collaboratively with the General Manager to provide smooth service and contribute to our dynamic environment.
- Act as an ambassador for The Annex. You will represent the Annex in the neighbourhood and across the city, and actively build and maintain relationships with our partners and neighbours.
