Under the general direction of Chief Information and Privacy Officer, the Director of Infrastructure, will provide leadership to the Information Technology (IT) department in the planning, design, improvement and operation of Infrastructure Services, with a focus on quality, customer satisfaction, optimization, negotiation, and strategy development across HSN, and in partnership with regional and provincial partners, funding agencies, and vendors.
Health Sciences North (HSN) is seeking an experienced, talented leader to join its foundational Information Technology (IT) team. The successful applicant will be a highly motivated individual with proven multi-year financial and strategic innovative infrastructure planning skills with the ability to establish, develop and foster effective relationships with internal and external partners. They will have a proven track record of demonstrating judgment and achieving results while working in a multifaceted environment.

In this role, you will support HSN in achieving its outcomes linked to HSN’s Strategic Plan, which includes implementing an EMR, a Human Capital Management System (HCMS) and Patient portal, and the Development of Our People, among others. The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Business from an accredited university. Preference will be given to candidates with specialized training in customer and business services. -
A minimum of ten (10) years’ working in an IT leadership/management role, preferably in a health care environment - A minimum of five (5) years’ experience working in a Business or Marketed Services role within a health care environment.
- Recent experience with project management and experience working with data management software is preferred.
