Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team at The Black Antler and The Forest. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and ensuring that guests have an enjoyable experience.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes or customer preferences.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, answering questions, and making recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing glassware, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Monitor inventory levels of liquor, mixers, and supplies; assist in ordering as needed.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while providing change as necessary.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food orders when applicable.
Skills
- Proven experience in bartending or a similar role within the food industry is preferred.
- Strong cashiering skills with proficiency in handling cash and using POS systems.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle busy shifts effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure a safe dining environment.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing tabs efficiently.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
